Our Story · Black-owned · Woman-led

Every bottle is a canvas. Every sip is a story worth sharing.

Where we come from

Art Council Wines began with a circle of women built in film, art, business, and culture who came together to make something the world had never seen. Not just a label. A testament to collective brilliance.

We fuse storytelling with refined elegance. Every bottle pairs a handcrafted California wine with original art by celebrated artists. Two disciplines, one object. Each release becomes a collector's piece. Every pour becomes a conversation that lingers long after the glass is empty.

Every reason to celebrate deserves something made with intention. The milestone you fought for. The quiet moment you finally claimed for yourself. The table filled with people who know your whole story and stayed to help you write it. Our wines are crafted with the same care as the art they wear, created to honor the moments that matter. With Art Council Wines, raise a glass to heritage, creativity, soul, and every chapter worth celebrating.

Our Mission

We exist to honor culture, ignite creativity, and bring people together through the transformative power of wine and art. By uniting expressive wines, fearless storytelling, and museum-worthy labels, we create more than bottles; we create experiences that spark conversation, elevate artists, and build a lasting legacy of elegance, empowerment, and soul.

Meet the Founders

Three women.
Decades of excellence.
One bold vision redefining what a bottle of wine can hold, express, and inspire.

Founder & CEO · Producer · Storyteller

Angi Bones

“True storytellers are never confined by boundaries. They simply discover new ways to pour their vision into the world.”
Angi Bones has built her career at the intersection of vision, discipline, and fearless reinvention. Once on a path toward joining the LAPD, her life changed course with a single unpaid internship on the set of Panther, a defining decision that launched an extraordinary career in film and television.
Today, as an award-winning producer and President of Production at Tyler Perry Studios, Angi has brought more than 100 productions to life.
Yet her vision was never meant for the screen alone. Angi holds the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines, earned with merit, and brings the same discerning eye, creative instinct, and exacting attention to detail to every bottle. Through Art Council Wines, she transforms wine into a layered expression of taste, art, and story crafted with intention and designed to leave an unforgettable impression.

As President & CEO of the National Black Arts Festival and former Senior Director of Programming at the Apollo Theater, Leatrice Ellzy Wright has spent 28 years shaping the cultural institutions that define Black artistic excellence in America.
She is the curatorial conscience of Art Council Wines, the reason our label art is not decoration, but dialogue.
